JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has reshuffled the board of commissioners and directors of the company PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero) or Mining Industry Holding, MIND ID.

Quoted from MIND ID's official website, the board of commissioners seemed to have changed. Previously, the composition of commissioners was based on the AGMS for the 2023 Fiscal Year, namely the President Commissioner of Fuad Bawazier; Independent Commissioner Muhammad Munir and Pamitra Wineka; as well as three other commissioners, namely Astera Primanto Bhakti, Grace Natalie and Nicolaus Teguh Budi Harjanto.

There is a new name in the board of commissioners, one of which is the appointment of the Director General of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Tri Winarno as Commissioner of MIND ID.

Nugroho Widyotomo, who once served as Secretary General of the Indonesian National Resilience Council, also holds the position of Independent Commissioner.

The new name who also holds the position of Independent Commissioner is Agung Setya Imam Effendi who has also served as Deputy Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) since October 18, 2024. .

Meanwhile, the board of directors only removed Hendi Prio Santoso as President Director and replaced by Maroef Sjamsoeddin who graduated from the Air Force Academy (AU) and served as Deputy Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) from 2011 to 2014.

In his professional career before joining MIND ID, Maroef, who is the younger brother of the Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, also served as President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia from 2015 to 2016.

Previously, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of SOEs, Putri Violla, explained that changing the helms of state-owned companies was a common thing. Putri also said that changing figures is also a way of facing global challenges.

"When it comes to changing the President Director, it's normal. What is called rotation, of course, what is called BUMN-BUMN, there will be more challenges going forward," he said when met at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 4.
