The Trade Minister Asks Producers To Increase Oil Supply 2 Times Enter Ramadan-Idulfitri 2025

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso asked producers to double the supply of Minya Kita in facing the month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2025.

This was conveyed by Budi in a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission VI of the DPR at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, March 3.

"The Ministry of Trade through Letter Number BP00.01/83/PDN/SD/02/2025 dated February 28, 2025 has asked cooking oil producers to double the distribution of Minya Kita's supply during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2025," said Budi.

Budi assessed that this was a follow-up to the Limited Coordination Meeting or Coordination Meeting chaired by the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan on February 26, 2025.

In the coordination meeting, it was agreed, among others, to ensure the supply and supervision of the distribution of Minya Kita, the price of Minya Kita in the people's or traditional market should not exceed the highest retail price (HET).

Then, the Ministry of Trade provides regular price data for basic necessities daily as an evaluation instrument during the month of Ramadan.

"In the face of fasting and Eid al-Fitr 2025, the Ministry of Trade continues to collaborate with stakeholders related to taking these steps," he said.

According to Budi, his party has summoned all these manufacturers and they agreed to double the supply of Minya Kita.

"We have summoned all producers and they agreed to supply twice as much. The distribution and distribution of Minya Kita are focused on retailers in markets throughout Indonesia," said Budi.

In addition, said Budi, the Ministry of Trade through the Directorate General of Consumer Protection and Commerce Order together with the National Police food task force and a number of other stakeholders will supervise the distribution of these commodities.

"The Ministry of Trade through the Directorate General of Consumer Protection and Commerce Order together with the National Police food task force, 38 local governments in charge of trade and four simultaneous commercial ordered control centers also carry out supervision to ensure smooth distribution, availability and suitability of the Minyakitar HET," he concluded.
