Prabowo: Danantara Will Invest In 20 National Projects

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto revealed that the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) or Danantara Indonesia will focus on targeting 20 national projects that have a high impact or high impact.

Prabowo said the initial funding or or initial funding of Danantara Indonesia is projected to reach 20 billion US dollars or around Rp. 327 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 16,350 per US dollar).

"The first wave of investment worth US$20 billion in approximately 20 strategic projects worth billions of dollars," he said at the launch of Danantara Indonesia, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, February 24.

Prabowo said that of the 20 projects, there were a number of priorities. For example, downstream nickel, bauskit, copper to the construction of an artificial intelligence (AI) data center.

Then, continued Prabowo, Danantara will also prioritize oil refinery projects, petrochemical factories, food and protein production, aquaculture, and new and renewable energy (EBT).

"These are the sectors that will determine our future, our resilience, and the independence of our nation," he said.

Prabowo said the formation of Danantara Indonesia marks a new era for state-owned enterprises (BUMN).

According to him, state-owned companies are not only business entities, but as national assets that will become development and growth agents.
