Ara Invites Investors To Crowd Investment In RI: There Is Security And Legal Certainty Guarantee

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) invites investors in the housing sector to invest in Indonesia. One of the reasons is because Indonesia has legal certainty.

Ara said, there are several reasons for investors that investing in Indonesia is the right thing.

First, because Indonesia is a safe country. Second, it has legal certainty.

"I said number one earlier that our country is safe, our country number two has legal certainty. In our country, we want any minister, if he is wrongly imprisoned, the KPK has arrested him. Regents, mayors, governors have, the DPR has already done. So, there is legal certainty," said Ara in the Mandiri Investment Forum 2025 agenda which was monitored online, Tuesday, February 11.

According to Ara, if there are Indonesian officials who are wrong, they will be punished according to applicable regulations. It doesn't matter whether the official has a connection to the president or something else.

"In the past three weeks or months, we have seen that there are so many law enforcement in our country that are not indiscriminate, anyone who violates the law must be responsible. So, I have to say that it is safe and there is legal certainty that is important," he said.

In addition, Ara said, the market in Indonesia is very large.

Moreover, the need for houses in Indonesia is also quite large, there is still a backlog of around 9.9 million houses. "That's an extraordinary market potential," he said.

If there are investors who are interested in investing in Indonesia, Ara said, there are three principles that must be met, namely useful for the state, useful for the people of Indonesia and useful for investors and the business world.

"Please create a concept, what kind of thinking does it need. Don't doubt the land, too much land in Indonesia. Don't hesitate, there are too many markets in Indonesia. Regarding the rules, let's talk. Of course we want business friendly, want friendly investors, we will definitely do it. What incentives do we need to talk about. With this principle, it is good for our country, good for our people and good for the business world," he concluded.
