PT PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) managed to reduce carbon emissions by 921,119 tons of CO2 throughout 2024 through a coal primary energy mixing program at steam power plants (PLTU) with biomass.
PLN Indonesia Power President Director Edwin Nugraha Putra said the implementation of cofiring in 2024 was recorded to be able to produce green energy of 814 GWh or the equivalent of reducing carbon emissions by 921,119 tons of CO2.
