Currently, broadband penetration in Indonesia only reaches 15 percent, one of the lowest in Southeast Asia. Neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines have averaged more than 70 percent of their broadband penetration. This condition creates significant obstacles to access to education and the development of the digital economy in Indonesia.
Yune Marketamo said, with affordable service costs, this network will play an important role in supporting online education, digital business innovation, and other increasingly essential internet-based activities in the modern era.
We are very proud to be partnering with BNI for this important project. Broadband access is affordable not only about technology, but also about realizing people's dreams for an inclusive digital future. We believe that this project will open up new opportunities for millions of Indonesian families to advance," Yune said.
