JAKARTA - Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi opened his voice regarding the presence of a new airline, named PT Surya Mataram Nusantara or Fly Jaya. He said the airline did not yet have an operating permit.

The reason is, Dudy admitted that he had not received the file for applying for an operating permit from Fly Jaya at his desk.

"Incidentally, I haven't seen (the permit application file) on my desk, I'll try to check with the staff whether (there is) a proposal," he said when met at the BUMN Ministry Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 21.

Even so, Dudy said the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) welcomed the presence of the new airline. With the increase in airlines in Indonesia, he believes that services to the community will be better.

"However, we must welcome the presence of a new airline with any kind. Thus we can serve better to the community," he said.

For your information, Fly Jaya already has an air transportation standard certificate in December 2024. This means that Fly Jaya has a permit to fly domestically.

Even so, the FlyJaya fleet and pilots have not yet obtained an operating permit in the form of an Aircraft Operation Certificate (AOC) from the Ministry of Transportation.

Launching FlyJaya's official social media, the new airline is ready to explore Indonesia's skies in 2025. The airline also plans to bring a safer, more comfortable, and reliable flying experience.

FlyJaya will use the AT 72-500 fleet to serve domestic flights in Indonesia. The aircraft is designed for short-distance flights with fuel efficiency, so it is environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
