Menkop Calls Prabowo Gives Real Support To Cooperatives

Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Budi Arie Setiadi revealed that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto gave real support to cooperatives.

According to him, President Prabowo's real support for cooperatives is proven by several good news. First, there is an additional budget as capital for cooperatives in the form of revolving funds of Rp. 10 trillion through the Revolving Fund Management Institution (LPDB-KUMKM).

"This is clear evidence from a limited meeting (ratas) with the President that there are an additional Rp10 trillion in funds revolving through LPDB-KUMKM. Hopefully this can boost all of us against the development of cooperatives, especially in the real sector," he said, quoting Antara.

Budi Arie said that the figure was not a small number, so it was a big responsibility. For that, there must be supervision.

Second, he continued, the distribution of subsidized fertilizers involves cooperatives. Third, encourage the digitization of the parent cooperative of the village unit (KUD).

"Fourth, Kemenkop continues to coordinate in the success of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program which must use local products. Involve villages, cooperatives, and BUMdes," said the Coordinating Minister.

For information, Coordinating Minister Budi Arie Setiadi emphasized the importance of distributing revolving funds from the Cooperative Revolving Fund Management Agency, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (LPDB-KUMKM) for the productive sector by 2025.

The existence of cooperatives is very important because it is an effective instrument in improving people's welfare through the principle of mutual cooperation and togetherness.

Meanwhile, the President Director of LPDB-KUMKM Supomo is committed to supporting the government's priority programs related to productive sector cooperatives.

Supomo emphasized that LPDB-KUMKM is ready to direct the distribution of revolving funds to the productive sector as part of efforts to increase the competitiveness and contribution of cooperatives to the national economy.

He also emphasized the importance of synergy between the government, cooperatives, and other stakeholders in ensuring the success of this program.
