KAI Records Long-distance And Local Train Ticket Sales Reach More Than 3 Million

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that the number of long-distance train tickets (KA JJ) and local trains that had been sold for the period of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) holidays reached 3,052,003 tickets.

The KAI group itself has set the Nataru transportation period from 19 December 2024 to 5 January 2025.

"Based on data today, Monday, December 30, 2024 at 06.00 WIB, the number of train tickets for JJ and local trains that have been sold is 3,052,003 tickets from the total seating capacity provided by KAI is 3,572,588 tickets," said KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba in an official statement, Monday, December 30.

Of the 3,052,003 tickets sold, consisting of 2,523,076 JJ trains or 91 percent of the total number of seats available as many as 2,770,864 tickets. Local train sales have reached 528,927 tickets or 66 percent of the total number of seats provided, namely 801,724 tickets.

The number of ticket sales will continue to change dynamically and increase, because sales are still ongoing. KAI hopes that people can immediately book tickets and plan a vacation carefully because several train tickets during the Nataru era have started to run out," said Anne.

Meanwhile, continued Anne, from December 19 to December 30, 2024 during the Nataru period, based on data at the same time, KAI has dispatched 2,303,255 passengers in Java and Sumatra.

"For Medium/Far Distance Trains, ticket bookings can be done by H-45, while the local trains themselves can only be ordered D-30 before departure and there are also several trains that can only be ordered D-7 before departure," he explained.

Anne said that on December 19, 2024 to January 5, 2025, KAI Group provided a total of 44,754,280 seats. Consisting of 3,572,588 KAI Passengers, 35,407,300 KAI Commuter Passengers, 4,142,520 Jabodebek LRT Passengers, 588,304 South Sumatra LRT Passengers, and 7,416 KAI Travel Passengers.

"Then 487,728 KAI Airport Passengers, 29,160 Makassar-Parepare Train Passengers and 519,264 KCIC Passengers," he said.

Meanwhile, continued Anne, the total number of KAI Group trips is 40,782 trains with details of 7,328 train trips managed by KAI, 23,204 train trips managed by KAI Commuter, 1,872 train trips managed by KAI Airport, 5,598 Jabodebek LRT trips, and 1,772 South Sumatra LRT trips.

"Then, 36 trips managed by KAI Wisata, 108 trips from Makassar-Parepare train and 864 trips from better than KCIC. Overall, KAI Group has delivered 15,040,657 passengers in Java, Sumatra and Sulawesi during this Nataru period," he said.
