D+3 Christmas, Vehicles From Java Nyeberang To Sumatra Up 4 Percent Reach 9,745 Units

MERAK - Two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles from Java crossed into Sumatra on D+3 Christmas reached 9,745 units through Merak Port, Banten.

"This figure is up 4 percent compared to last year's realization of 9,375 units," said ASDP Corporate Secretary Shelvy Arifin as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, December 29.

Based on data from the Merak Command Post for 24 hours (period 28 December 2024 at 00.00 to 23.59 WIB) or D+3, it was recorded that the number of two-wheeled vehicles crossing from Java to Sumatra reached 2,076 units, an increase of 24 percent compared to last year's realization of 1,675 units.

Four-wheeled vehicles reached 4,334 units, down 2 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 4,423 units.

Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles from Java to Sumatra was recorded at 9,745 units, an increase of 4 percent compared to the realization of the last year's period of 9,375 units.

The total number of vehicles that had crossed from Java to Sumatra on D-7 to D+3 was recorded at 99,082 units, down 8 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 107,394 units.

The realization of the total passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra on D+3 reached 39,606 people, an increase of 1 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 39,190 people.

Meanwhile, the total number of passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra from D-7 to D+3 was recorded at 417,154 people or a decrease of 12 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 471,741 people.

Furthermore, based on data from the Bakauheni Command Post for 24 hours (period 28 December 2024 at 00.00 to 23.59 WIB) or D+3, the number of ships operating was 33 ships.

The realization of total passengers reached 34,586 people, an increase of 1 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 34,159 people.

It was recorded that the realization of two-wheeled vehicles that had crossed reached 1,135 units.

That figure is up 25 percent compared to last year's realization of 908 units.

Four-wheeled vehicles reached 3,933 units, down 1 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 3,969 units.

Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles recorded was 8,052 units that had crossed from Sumatra to Java on D+3, an increase of 2 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 7,887 units.

The total number of passengers crossing from Sumatra to Java from D-7 to D+3 was recorded at 363,207 people, down 14 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 420,398 people.

The total number of vehicles that have crossed was recorded at 85,692 units, a decrease of 11 percent compared to the realization of the period with last year's 96,137 units.
