Just 46 Days, The Minister Of PKP Is So Happy That 30 Thousand Houses Have Built

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas appreciates the performance of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), which within 46 days the Prabowo administration has succeeded in encouraging the distribution of nearly 30 thousand housing units through PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BTN).

The Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, said he was amazed to see the performance of BUMN specialists in housing financing, namely BTN, which has distributed nearly 30,000 housing units since President Prabowo Subianto's administration was running.

"I will tell President Prabowo that the performance of the Ministry of SOEs is very good, because it can encourage BTN in its program. I pray that we all work together to provide housing for the Indonesian people," said Maruarar recently.

Maruarar also appreciated BTN's innovation as a BUMN, which was able to distribute mortgages not only for people with permanent income, but also for informal worker groups.

"I appreciate BTN who can provide mortgages, for example, meatball shop owners can get mortgages, even though they don't have salary slips. There are also vegetable stall owners who can get KUR," said Maruarar.

Maruarar appreciated BTN for a number of achievements as a mortgage channeling bank since 1976 and its contribution to the national housing sector.

"I express some appreciation to BTN because there are some data, that first, BTN controls and plays a role in the mortgage market share, especially for small communities in Indonesia as much as 40 percent. I pray, next year if possible 60 percent, at least 50 percent, because there must be progress," said Maruarar.

The second thing that should be appreciated from BTN, said Maruarar, is the contribution of BTN to provide access to mortgages to the informal sector, which currently has a proportion of almost 10 percent of the total distribution of BTN mortgages.

"This means that there is hope for people like us to find 3 days ago during the BTN Mass KPR Akad in Serang, that there are meatball traders, vegetable traders, and minimarket employees who can get a house because of the good service of BTN," said Maruarar.

The third thing, said Maruarar, is the role of BTN in distributing mortgages to millennials and Gen Z, so there is hope for young Indonesians to be able to own a house at the age of around 30 years.

"I think this is a new step, that countries are present for young people and countries to be present for informal groups," said Maruarar.

The last thing that Maruarar appreciated was education carried out by BTN for developers, both from Realestat Indonesia (REI), Association for Housing and Settlement Development throughout Indonesia (APERSI), and Association for Settlement and Public Housing Development (Himperra), because they have worked professionally.

"We pray for the developers to be more successful and progress in their business," said Maruarar.

Not only that, Maruarar praised the work of BTN in providing assistance and guidance to young people in the regions to become housing entrepreneurs or developers who contribute to the national housing sector.

"In Serang yesterday there was a young developer named Wawan, very young, but he was able to build thousands of houses in one year. This is a good equity, we must support so that equity occurs and distributes economic growth in the regions," concluded Maruarar.
