JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) conducted a mass agreement of 1,500 kpr customers subsidizing Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) simultaneously in 17 provinces to help people to be able to have housing in accordance with Islamic principles.

Director of Retail Banking BSI Alun Akbar said this activity was conducted in 83 branch offices throughout Indonesia and is one of the company's commitments in meeting national housing needs.

We want to provide solutions to the community in order to own a home, certainly in accordance with sharia principles. In addition, we also hope that this program can directly help people to own a first home and still be able to make a positive contribution to the company," he said in a written statement as quoted on Tuesday, April 13.

Akbar added, in 2021 the company will optimize the market share and existing customer database and build synergy with developers from each region to meet housing needs.

The target is that Bank Syariah Indonesia can distribute Kpr Sejahtera amounting to Rp 2 trillion or more than 14,000 customers by the close of this year.

For information, the kpr subsidy program from BSI targets people with incomes of up to Rp8 million (including joint income), with the category of fixed income groups.

The segments that become the target market come from employees (civil servants / government agencies), employees of state-owned enterprises, TNI / POLRI, doctors & health workers as well as employees of private companies.

On the same occasion, President Director of the Center for Housing Financing Fund Management (PPDPP) Arief Sabaruddin suggested that this FLPP facility can help people to own a house with cheap financing.

"Through the assistance of flpp program, BSI customers are expected to be able to maintain the homes that have been received through BSI KPR Sejahtera financing," he said.

This mass commitment activity of 1,500 customers is part of a virtual series of BSI Ramadhan Fest events that took place during Ramadan 1442 H from April 13 to May 13, 2021.

This event was held to introduce products owned by Bank Syariah Indonesia as well as a medium of sharia financial literacy and inclusion in Ramadan.
