Tomorrow, The Minister Of MSMEs Will Meet The Ojol Association To Discuss Subsidized Fuel

JAKARTA - Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman stated that he would hold an audience with the online motorcycle taxi association (ojol) to discuss the discourse on removing the use of Pertalite-subsidized fuel.

Maman emphasized that online motorcycle taxi drivers are included in the MSME category so they have the right to 'absorbed' the subsidized fuel.

"This is still crowded. Tomorrow (December 6) I will accept Ojek Online friends regarding the issue of revocation of subsidized fuel. I want to convey one thing that Online Ojek is included in the MSME category," Maman told the media crew on the sidelines of the 2024 Local Network agenda, Thursday, December 5.

Maman said, based on the results of a coordination meeting with the Subsidy Task Force (Satgas) team on Target, ojol drivers who carry out their daily activities through becoming online motorcycle taxis are included in the MSME category.

Maman said, during the coordination meeting, he as the Minister of MSMEs also proposed that online motorcycle taxis and MSME entrepreneurs continue to receive asusidized fuel allocation.

"That there are issues A, B, and C, please understand that this is being processed," he added.

Maman also said that he had also met with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia to coordinate regarding the provision of obsidized fuel for ojol.

"So it must be straightened out, yes. This Online Ojek is included in the classification of MSMEs and the MSME sector is a sector that still gets fuel subsidies," said Maman.

He explained that related to the issue that the ojol could not receive subsidized fuel intended by Bahlil, it was a four-wheeled vehicle with a black plate.

"So users of 4-wheeled vehicles who use yellow plates get fuel subsidies. It means that 4-wheeled vehicles that do not use yellow plates do not get fuel subsidies. So don't twist them into clear ones?" said Maman.
