JAKARTA - Indonesia through the Ministry of MSMEs is exploring the expansion of cooperation with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) for the development of MSMEs, especially in terms of financing.
On the sidelines of the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Group of Expert on Financing for Development (IGE FfD), the Expert Staff of the Minister of MSMEs for Inter-Institutional Relations, Riza Damanik, accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of MSMEs and PTRI Geneva held a meeting with UNCTAD on November 30, 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.
"This meeting aims to explore the cooperation between the Ministry of MSMEs and UNCTAD in the context of developing MSMEs, especially in access to financing," said Riza Damanik, Saturday, November 30.
Responding to this, UNCTAD's Head of Entrepreneurship and Investment, Alexandre Dabbou, said that UNCTAD is open to strengthening cooperation with the Indonesian Ministry of MSMEs.
On that occasion he explained about Emprenec which is a UNCTAD program to increase network capacity and expansion for MSMEs and entrepreneurs from various countries in the context of achieving inclusive and sustainable development.
