BTN Plans To Launch 30 Years Of Tenor Mortgage, UMR Salary Workers Can Be Installed

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) plans to implement a Home Purchase Credit (KPR) scheme with a tenor of up to 30 years.

President Director of BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu said that the plan to extend this tenor was to make it easier for people to get ownership of houses with affordable installments.

Nixon calculated, with an UMR salary of Rp. 4 million per month, later the public will only pay installments of Rp. 1.1 million per month.

"For example, at a minimum wage of Rp. 4 million, he can go away, say 30 percent means Rp. 1.2 million. Now, for him the affordable is if the monthly installment is Rp. 1.2 million," Nixon said when met by reporters after the Dialogue agenda with the Development Association entitled 'Accelerated Distribution of Program 3 Million Houses' at the BTN Tower, Jakarta, Friday, November 29.

Nixon assessed that the affordable house (affordable house) returns to the customer's abilities and experience. Referrals are not always interest rates or down payments (DP), but displacing abilities that are different for everyone.

"That's why we are making financing which can be below Rp. 1.2 million, Rp. 1.1 million. That's what is called affordable," he said.

On the same occasion, President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo said, the program of 3 million houses per year will increase electricity demand by 6.3 TWh per year with the need for capacity to increase by 1 Gigawatt (GW) per year.

"Of course, the additional 3 million housing programs per year will increase the demand consumption by around 6.3 TWh per year, and if we convert into a generator, there will be an additional 1 Gigawatt per year. On top of the current demand," said Darmawan.

Darmawan assessed that the additional potential was a positive signal for PLN. The reason is, this will provide additional income for the state-owned company.

"Well, of course this is part of our consideration, because 1 Gigawatt is not in one location. So, there are three electricity demand, namely location, time and what capacity are needed. So, there are three," he said.

"Well, of course, this means that it is not concentrated demand, but is distributed demand. This is a location, time and capacity. So, three dimensions," concluded Darmawan.
