PT PLN (Persero) has successfully completed the construction of the 30 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) and the 150-kiloVolt (kV) High Voltitude Air Line (SUTT) Lubuk Linggau - Tebing Tinggi which was marked by the provision of initial voltage or energy on Monday 18 November.
Successfully completed with the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) reaching 76.34 percent, this infrastructure will further strengthen the South Sumatra electricity system.
PLN's New Renewable Project and Energy Management Director, Wiluyo Kusdwiharto explained that the 150 kV SUTT Lubuk Linggau - Tebing Tinggi is needed to spur the economy of the people in Empat Lawang Regency. Its presence also increases the electricity supply previously supplied from the GI Lahat and GI Lubuk Linggau networks.
"Reliable and quality electricity will support health services, education, and encourage the growth of the agricultural and trade sectors, which are the main pillars of the regional economy," said Wiluyo.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN Southern Sumatra Development Main Unit, Zaky Adikta, detailed that the construction of SUTT 150 kV Lubuk Linggau - Tebing Tinggi covers 165 towers along 109.13 kilometers (kms) that cross Lubuk Linggau City, Musi Rawas Regency, and Empat Lawang Regency, supported by a 30 MVA-capacity Main Substation.
Despite facing various challenges in the development process, PLN has succeeded in completing the electricity infrastructure thanks to the support of stakeholders and all elements of society.
