Support Telecommunication And Information Access, IIF Distributes Syndicated Loans Of IDR 500 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) in collaboration with PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (Smartfren) and PT Smart Telecom (Smarttel) signed a syndicated credit agreement worth IDR 10 trillion on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

The collaboration aims to refinancing the existence of loans and the construction of 5G network connection infrastructure.

The credit agreement involved 6 creditors including IIF with 2 Original Mandated Lead Arrangers & Bookrunners, namely PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) and BCA.

As one of the leads arrangers, IIF received a portion of credit disbursement of IDR 500 billion. The lending is based on the consideration that telecommunication access and information play a crucial role in the development of the network connection infrastructure needed for economic growth.

This cooperation is expected to encourage the growth of Indonesia's digital economy through increasing access and speed of wireless network connections. We are also optimistic that this will have a positive impact on the wider community," said IIF Chief Investment Officer Mohammad Ramadhan Harahap (Idhan), in a statement, Monday 18 November.

This collaboration between IIF, Smartfren, and Smartel is a clear proof of a shared commitment in building strong digital infrastructure in Indonesia. The synergy that exists is expected to provide wider benefits for business actors and all levels of society.
