The Construction Of The Bocimi Toll Road Will Continue To East Sukabumi

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has confirmed that the Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road project will continue to East Sukabumi.

This is done to support the smoothness of connectivity and community mobility.

"This is in line with the construction of the Ciawi 'Sukabumi Toll Road which will also be continued to Sections 3 and 4 from Cibadak to East Sukabumi. Moreover, this toll road is useful for providing support for the smooth connectivity of the southern West Java community, such as Bogor, Ciawi and Sukabumi," said Director of the Wilan Oktavian Obstacle Free Road as quoted from the official website of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), Friday, November 15.

BPJT Member Elements of the Community Tulus Abadi added that the Bocimi Toll Road has a length of 54 kilometers (km).

The Bocimi Toll Road consists of four sections, namely Section 1 Ciawi 'Cigombong (15.3 km) and Section 2 Cigombong' Cibadak (11.9 km). Both sections have been operated by PT Trans Jabar Tol.

"Meanwhile, Section 3 Cibadak West Sukabumi (13.7 km) is still in the construction stage with a progress of 16.4 percent, targeted for completion of construction in the second quarter of 2026 and Section 4 of Sukabumi Barat (13.05 km) in the construction preparation stage," said Tulus.

The presence of the Ciawi 'Sukabumi Toll Road has an important role in shortening the travel time from Jakarta to Sukabumi and reducing congestion on the Bogor 'Sukabumi national road.

Through the Ciawi Toll Road, Sukabumi, which has been connected from Ciawi to Cibadak, can cut the travel time faster than Jakarta to Sukabumi for 2 hours to 2.5 hours.

From what was previously taken for 4 to 5 hours, it passes through bad arterial roads, such as Cicurug, Parungkuda and Cibadak.

The Ciawi Toll Road Sukabumi is also connected to the Pansela West Java national road at Pelabuhan Ratu via Cikembang' Cikadu.

So it is hoped that it will facilitate access to tourism areas around the southern part of Sukabumi.

As well as being a supporting connectivity to tourist attractions, namely Pelabuhan Ratu Beach, Puncak Habibie, Geopark Ciletuh and Ujung Genteng Beach.
