JAKARTA In the midst of the rapid development of the modern era, Indonesia continues to strive to preserve and maintain its cultural wealth.

One of the cultural heritages that is unkempt by the times is Javanese traditional culture, with its distinctive beauty and noble rich values. Defending and spreading culture in an all-digital era is not easy.

Responding to these challenges, Transvision is now present with a special channel called Channel Jowo through digital technology, both TV and OTT applications.

Through the Jowo Channel, people can enjoy various presentations of Javanese traditional culture at any time and anywhere. Starting from folklore, art, wayang kulit performances, and Jowo dances.

Not only art content, Channel Jowo also presents Javanese cultural philosophy shows, ranging from dance arts, shadow puppets, gamelan music shows, to traditional events such as sekten, grebeg, and other traditional celebrations. The launch of Channel Jowo in Transvision took place on November 12, 2024 at the Transvision Headquarters, Mega Syariah Tower, Jakarta, which was attended by Brando Tengdom, Marketing & Sales Transvision Director, and Groto Triatno, CEO of Channel Jowo.

Director of Marketing & Sales Transvision Brando Tengdom said Jowo's channel was here to answer the needs of the Community, which not only requires entertainment, but also enriches insight into culture.

Brando said that Channel Jowo is here to provide a more diverse viewing experience for customers, especially to invite the younger generation to get to know and appreciate the rich traditions and culture of Java which are so diverse, all of which can be enjoyed through Transvision.

"Both on the OTT Platform, as well as on other platforms owned by Transvision, so that it can reach even wider," he said in his statement, Tuesday, November 12.

Channel CEO Jowo Groto Triatno added that his party hopes that the Jowo Channel at Transvision can increase knowledge or education that introduces and preserves various aspects of Javanese culture.

"Hopefully Channel Jowo will be able to generate a sense of pride and love for society, young teenagers, for our cultural heritage, which is the hallmark of the Indonesian nation," he said.
