JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Sea Transportation has officially integrated the Shipship and Marine Management Information System (Simkapel) with the Electronic Portage Service System or Indonesia Portnet (Inaportnet).

Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana said the integration of these two service systems would increase the efficiency of ship data services and security.

Suntana also conveyed that the integration of these two services is a form of optimizing the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).

"This is part of our efforts to follow up on the need for faster public services," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, October 29.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Sea Transportation, Antoni Arif Priadi, said that the integration of Simkapel and Inaportnet was a strategic step in realizing SPBE.

Furthermore, he said this step was also as mandated in Presidential Regulation Number 95 of 2018 and Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number 112 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Electronic-Based Government Systems within the Ministry of Transportation.

"Through the integration of Simkapel and Inaportnet, this will result in increased efficiency, interoperability, and data security, which will ultimately facilitate the administrative process of ship and goods services at ports," said Antoni.

Antoni said that to realize the implementation and implementation of data and information between Simkapel and Inaportnet services in the implementation of SPBE, policies are needed to maintain confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity and shallowness of resources related to data and information.

For this reason, together with this inauguration, the signing of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (Secretary Agreement) between the Directorate of Shipships and Maritime Affairs as a Simkapel supervisor with the Directorate of Traffic and Sea Transportation as the supervisor of Inaportnet.

"This Secretariat is a strategic and operational basis in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of the data exchanged between Simkapel and Inaportnet," said Antoni.

For information, Simkapel has been developed in stages and launched in 2020. This shipping information system was originally created to support Indonesia's need to report ship gross tonnage data to the International Maritime Organization-Global Integrated Shipping Information System (IMO GISIS).

Meanwhile, Inaportnet was built in 2016 to address the problem of dwelling time and improve Logistic Performance Index (LPI). The Inaportnet service has been implemented in 264 ports.
