Housing Minister Maruarar Sirait Reveals Prabowo's Collapse Results At Akmil Magelang

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait revealed, one of the points highlighted by President Prabowo Subianto in the Ministerial Briefing agenda at the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang, Central Java.

The man who akrap called Ara said that one of the emphasized understandings during the briefing period was about eradicating corrupt practices and misappropriation.

He said the Indonesian government was asked to travel to Denmark, which, in recent times, the country has succeeded in significantly increasing the level of public trust in the government.

"I was just briefed, educated by Mr. Prabowo for 4 days in Akmil. One point that we got was that Indonesia was still working hard (to eradicate) corruption. One of the greatest was Denmark (about) public openness," said Ara in an event entitled 'Discussion of the Three Million Houses Program' which was held at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works, Jakarta, Monday, October 28.

In line with this, Ara also requested that every meeting held by the Ministry of PKP must be broadcast on YouTube. The plan is that he will also make a complaint call center so that the public can complain about allegations of illegal levies (extortion), extortion and corruption involving officials within the PKP Ministry.

"So, I ask for all meetings to have a YouTube, watch it and then I will make a complaint call center. If there are allegations of corruption, extortion, extortion at the Ministry of Housing. So, I am not basic," he said.

It didn't stop there, Ara openly said that later the Inspector General (Irjen) for the ministry he led came from the Attorney General's Office. This is considered to be effective in preventing acts of extortion and corruption from happening.

"I have asked the Inspector General to create a system of how there is also a whistleblower and so on. So, don't try it because we have created a correct and transparent system from the start," said Ara.

According to Ara, the ministry he leads must be able to become a government institution that is not pleasant. Thus, it is hoped that later the Ministry of PKP can avoid misappropriation.

"Pak Prabowo has also allowed Pak Hashim (Chairman of the Housing Task Force) for us to try to make this department a non-discussed, non-retrotoric department. But also with a system to be free from corruption. (One of them) starts from planning," he concluded.
