Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Agrees On Mineral Sector Cooperation And Human Resource Development With China

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) together with a group of Chinese companies engaged in the nickel industry, CNGR, have agreed to cooperate with the energy and mineral sector, as well as the development of Human Resources (HR).

This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Head of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Prahoro Yulijanto Nurtjahyo with CNGR Assistant President Liu Yi, in the CNGR Industrial Estate in China.

"Our visit to the CNGR industrial area and the signing of the MoU marks the beginning of the collaboration between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources with CNGR. In the future, cooperation in the energy and mineral sectors, to talent development, is ready for us to collaborate," Prahoro said in his statement to the media, Friday, October 25.

During this working visit, Prahoro visited the CNGR global research and development center as well as a material production workshop to see firsthand the company's research and production processes. Prahoro emphasized the importance of this visit for the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources as an opportunity to understand the practice of new energy companies with global integration such as CNGR.

"We feel that this working visit is very important for the cooperation between the two countries. We also hope to strengthen cooperation with CNGR in the field of sustainable mining, development of technical talent, good mining practices, and collaboration of cross-border scientific research," Prahoro explained.

On that occasion, Liu Yi emphasized CNGR's commitment to green and sustainable development. CNGR can contribute to the progress of the Indonesian energy and mineral industry through technology, innovation, and talent development.

"CNGR is committed to building close relations with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to advance the energy and mineral industry in Indonesia and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries," said Liu Yi.
