Prabowo Asks All Red And White Cabinets To Do Budget Efficiency

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of efficiency in managing the budget. All ministers are asked to review the APBN allocation and reduce ceremonial activities or non-essential overseas travel.

"I ask the Minister of Finance, I ask all Coordinating Ministers, I ask all Ministers, further investigate the allocation of the State Budget. Study again DIPA, students again. I ask for details on activities that are too ceremonial, there are too many seminars, too many sarasehan, too many conferences, too many overseas trips, please reduce it, we have to set an example," he said at the inaugural plenary cabinet meeting, quoted Friday, October 25.

Prabowo added to his staff in the red and white cabinet to set an example of this to the public because of his focus, namely the economic development of people's welfare.

Furthermore, Prabowo also emphasized the importance of food and energy self-sufficiency in the midst of global uncertainty that is still happening.

"We have to be self-sufficient in food, it's a basic priority because of the global situation, big wars can break out all the time. We have to guarantee our ability to feed our own people. Self-sufficiency in energy, absolutely! " he said.

For this reason, Prabowo instructed the relevant ministries to immediately formulate a downstream program for the 26 main commodities that must be worked on immediately.

"I ask for an immediate inventory of important projects in our downstream program. 26 commodities of vital projects in these 26 commodities that must be sterilized are immediately formulated. Make a list and we immediately seek funds so that we can start downstreaming in the shortest possible time," he said.

In addition to the food and energy sector, Prabowo also highlighted the importance of a nutritious eating program for children and pregnant women. This program is a crucial strategic step for the revival of the Indonesian nation.

'Eating nutritious for children and pregnant women is strategic. Those who do not support this please leave the government that I lead,' he said.

In addition, Prabowo conveyed that education and health are also areas that get the main attention therefore use technology to accelerate access to education and continue health reforms to overcome the shortage of health workers.

The fastest democratization, the people feel the most is education and health. If we can provide the best education for our children, adequate health for all of our people, it is true democracy," he said.

Prabowo also asked to carry out strict law enforcement against various threats, such as online gambling, drugs, smuggling, corruption, and leakage. As well as for law and intelligence officials to focus on monitoring and taking firm action in an effort to maintain national stability.

"Only with firm law enforcement and good intelligence can we immediately mitigate all of this," he said.
