JAKARTA - The government is increasingly tightening the implementation of the Enforcement of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). Not only adding five new provinces to PPKM, but also reducing the scale of the red zone status in the smallest area when the policy took effect.

"The government will also reduce the nets in villages in RT and RW. If previously there were more than 10 houses in the red zone, the government is now reducing the more than 5 houses that are red," said Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Monday, April 5.

Meanwhile, said Airlangga, the orange zone was determined if an RT had COVID-19 cases in 3 to 5 houses.

"The yellow zone is one to two houses and there are no cases in one house, it means green," he explained.

Furthermore, Airlangga explained that this tightening was to encourage the transmission of COVID-19 to be continuously suppressed. "This criterion is improved because we want to see that things related to the transmission of COVID-19 can be prevented even more," he said.

"The national criteria are fixed, with four criteria, namely cases of recovery, active cases, then death and bed occupancy rate. And to make it easier for these posts to be based on monitoring homes," he continued.

For your information, the previous RT level zoning criteria were first, the green zone with the criteria of no COVID-19 cases in one RT.

Second, the yellow zone with the criteria if there are one to 5 houses with positive confirmation cases in one RT during the last seven days.

Third, the orange zone with the criteria if there are 6 to 10 houses with positive confirmation cases in one RT during the last seven days.

Fourth, the red zone is the criteria if there are more than 10 houses with positive confirmation cases in one RT during the last seven days.
