Officially Signed, The Commitment Must Be WK Melati And Amanah Capai 15 Million US Dollars

JAKARTA - Acting (Plt) Director General of Oil and Gas Dadan Kusdiana witnessed the signing of two Oil and Gas Working Areas (WK), namely WK Amanah and WK Melati, which were carried out by the Head of SKK Migas and Contractor of Cooperation Contract (KKKS) who won the second auction of WK Migas.

"This signing adds to the Government's achievement in obtaining investors in upstream oil and gas business activities to encourage oil and gas exploration activities in Indonesia," said Dadan, quoted on Tuesday, October 15.

Dadan said the investment value of the Past Commitment to the Trustworthy WK was US$3.15 million and the Melati WK worth US$12.7 million so that from the two WKs the total commitment would definitely reach 15.85 million US dollars with bonus signatures of 300,000 US dollars and 200,000 US dollars, respectively.

Dadan said, WK Amanah and Melati are the results of the 2024 Phase I Migas WK Auction offered through the Direct Offer Auction mechanism. The winners of WK Amanah are PT Medco Energi Amanah (Operator), PT Sele Raya Sejati and KUFPEC Indonesia (Amanah) BV. While the winners of WK Melati are PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Sulawesi Melati (Operator), SIEI Melati Limited and KUFPEC Indonesia (Amanah) BV.

As for the signing of this cooperation contract, the Mandate WK is in the form of one G&G and Acquisition and processing of 3D 50 km2 seismic data. Meanwhile, for WK Melati, the commitment must be in the form of two G&G Studies, Acquisition and Processing of 3D Seismic Data 200 km2, as well as Acquisition and Processing of 2D 250 km2 Seismic Data.

This shows that the upstream oil and gas industry in Indonesia still has great opportunities, and remains attractive for investment. Improvements in regulations made by the Government also support a better investment climate for investors, including tax facilities, incentives or conditions and conditions in the supply," added Dadan.

Dadan hopes that the signing of 2 Oil and Gas Cooperation Contracts with the cost recovery scheme will have a positive impact on the oil and gas exploration climate in Indonesia. As well as adding Cooperation Contracts from 2020 to 2024 to a total of 23 New Cooperation Contracts.
