Again! Bahlil Again Promises An Increase In Tukin Employees Of The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia again promised to increase the performance allowance (tukin) for employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Bahlil said the promised Tukin increase was because employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources had worked hard and had not received attention regarding employee welfare.

Moreover, he said, there are many employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources spread to remote areas of Indonesia and in risky areas such as at the foot of a volcano.

"Therefore, allow me through this happy opportunity, I promise all of you, I pray that you can get additional hatchlings before the end of the existing government period. This is our common prayer and our common struggle," he said in his remarks at the Commemoration Ceremony of the 79th Anniversary of Mining and Energy, Thursday 10 October.

Bahlil said that the step to increase employee tukin needs to be done because the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is one of the biggest contributors to Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of up to Rp350 trillion in a year.

"Regarding this ESDM every year, Rp. 300 trillion-Rp. 350 trillion is a contributor to PNBP. So if our employees' welfare is not considered, it is difficult. So this is part of spurring their performance, but we must also pay attention to their welfare," continued Bahlil.

Bahlil added, with the increase in the tukit, he hoped that employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources would not carry out 'additional movements'.

"So if the government has given me (increases) I beg you not to make additional movements. This is my coincidence that a former businessman just blinked his eyes. Papuans say you just want to write down, you have read," said Bahlil.

The promise to increase tukin by Bahlil is not the first time this has been made. Previously at the inauguration of the Director General of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) Bahlil also promised to increase Tukin before his term of office in Joko Widodo's Cabinet ended.

"I promise that if you order all your members, then I will fight for welfare for increased performance allowances in this ministry before October 2024, of course I will fight for it," said Bahlil, Friday, September 20.

He considered that if given good allowances and salaries, employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources needed to carry out their duties to maintain and manage the wealth of natural resources and minerals properly and seriously.

"If the salary is good, Tukin is also good, still playing is another matter. There is no need to be called, I immediately took it because it was too much. So my job is to improve the welfare of ladies and gentlemen, your job is to improve work performance," explained Bahlil.
