JAKARTA - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of SOEs, the Directorate General of Taxes-Ministry of Finance, the National Committee for Governance Policy and the Indonesian Accountant Association successfully held the 2023 Annual Report Award (ARA) at Main Hall IDX, Monday, October 7 evening.

Chairman of the ARA Steering Committee 2023 Mardiasmo said that the event, which has entered its 19th year since it was first held in 2002, aims to encourage the application of good corporate governance principles in Indonesia, through an assessment of information disclosure and governance and sustainability practices in annual reports and company sustainability.

With the theme 'Internalizing Integrated Mindset Toward Sustainable Long Term Value Creation', ARA 2023 prioritizes integration of sustainability aspects in strategic planning and business processes to create long-term value for companies. This is in line with the hope that companies in Indonesia will further strengthen transparency in providing information related to financial and non-financial performance, including sustainability practices.

"ARA criteria are prepared by accommodating provisions/standards related to information disclosure in Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports and best practices in the corporate governance sector and are always updated to align with existing developments," said Mardiasmo in a written statement, Wednesday, October 9.
