Conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu Adds Share Ownership In Barito Renewables Energy

JAKARTA - Prajogo Pangestu, Chairman of the Barito Pacific Group, has increased its share ownership in PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN). This is motivated by his trust and belief in the company and the desire to continue to support Indonesia in achieving net zero emissions.

Merly, Director and Corporate Secretary of BREN said, Prajogo increased share ownership of 26,611,600 shares which was carried out on October 2 and 3, 2024.

"Mr. Prajogo always provides support to the company to carry out its business expansion and development. Barito Renewables has a strong commitment to continue working on the new renewable energy sector. Therefore, we remain optimistic about the contribution that the company can offer to Indonesia," Merly explained, Thursday, October 3.

Recently, a subsidiary of Barito Renewables, Star Energy Geothermal announced plans to increase the capacity of 102.6 MW at the International Geothermal Conference and Exhibition 2024 (IIGCE).

This strategic initiative aims to increase the capacity of the Star Energy Geothermal through a retrofitting project and new capacity additions in an effort to support Indonesia in carrying out energy transition targets.
