Rising, Coal Price Acuan September So 125.15 US Dollars Per Ton

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia set the Price of Metal and Coal Mineral References in September 2024. Head of the Communications, Public Information Service, and Cooperation (KLIK) Agus Cahyono Adi said that the Reference Mineral Price (HMA) in August was used as the basis for calculating the same month's Metal Mineral Price (HPM).

In this Ministerial Decree, HBA was set in September for coal commodities of 6,322 kcal per kg GAR, a total motion of 12.26 percent, a total of Sulphur 0.66 percent, and Ash 7.94 at 125.15 US dollars per ton.

"This figure has increased from HBA in August to USD 115.29 per ton," Agus said, quoted on Saturday, September 21.

Furthermore, HBA is set for Coal I commodities, in equal value of 5.300 kcal per kg GAR, Total Moisture 21.32 percent Total Sulphur 0.75 percent, and Ash 6.04 percent.

"HBA I is set at the level of 85.01 US dollars per ton," he continued.

Meanwhile, Reference Prices for Coal commodity II in equal value of 4.100 kcal per kg GAR, Total Moisture 35.73 percent, Total Sulphur 0.23 percent and Ash 3.90 percent are set at 53.26 US dollars per ton.

As for the reference price for Coal III, in equality, the value of water is 3,400 kcal per kg GAR, Total Moisture is 44.30 percent, Total Sulphur is 0.24 percent and Ash is 3.88 percent, at 35.89 US dollars per ton.

Apart from HBA, Bahlil also set various mineral commodities as benchmarks in August 2024. HMA Nickel is pegged at 15,908.10 dplar AS per dmt. Then Kobalt 26,031.90 US dollars per dmt and Timbal 1,993.69 US dollars per dmt.
