Bahlil Promises A Tukin Increase If Tri Winarno Can Bring Order To Naughty Officials Of The Directorate General Of Mineral And Coal

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia asked the Director General of Mneral and Coal (Minerba) Tri Winarno who had just been inaugurated to fix the chaos in the mineral and coal sector that had been happening so far.

At today's inauguration, Bahlil gave Tri Winarno a myriad of homework, such as controlling his staff to comply only to the Director General of Mineral and Coal, not to entrepreneurs.

He also asked Tri Winarno to build consolidation at the organizational level, both director and non-director, to reform various policies at the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal.

If successful in answering these challenges, Bahlil promised that employee performance allowances at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources before his term of office in Joko Widodo's Cabinet ended.

"I promise that if you order all your members, then I will fight for welfare for increased performance allowances in this ministry before October 2024, of course I will fight for it," said Bahlil, Friday, September 20.

He considered that if given good allowances and salaries, employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources needed to carry out their duties to maintain and manage the wealth of natural resources and minerals properly and seriously.

"If the salary is good, Tukin is also good, still playing is another matter. There is no need to be called, I immediately took it because it was too much. So my job is to improve the welfare of ladies and gentlemen, your job is to improve work performance," explained Bahlil.

Bahlil also mentioned the large amount of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from the very large Minerba sector which reached Rp170 trillion and needed healthy management. One step, he said, could result in enormous results.

"The wrong signature has a systemic, massive, and structured impact. Moreover, the one who makes additional movements is non-structured. Usually the structures are obedient and orderly, but outside of this structure the movements sometimes exceed the structure," said Bahlil.
