The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) stated that there were no indications of leakage of taxpayer principal data (NPWP) in the DGT information system.

"Based on the research that has been carried out, log access data in the last six years shows that there are no indications that lead to data leakage directly from the DGT information system," said Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations of the Ministry of Finance Dwi Astuti quoting Antara.

Dwi emphasized that the scattered data structure is not a data structure related to the implementation of the rights and fulfillment of tax obligations of taxpayers.

Even so, DGT continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo), the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), and the police to follow up on this alleged data leak.

DGT stated that it will continue to maintain the confidentiality of taxpayer data and improve security in the agency's information and infrastructure system.

DGT also urges the public to help maintain the security of their respective data, including by updating antivirals, changing passwords regularly, and avoiding access to suspicious links or documents.

As for the public who finds the alleged case of data leak related to the DGT, they can report to the 1500200 Kring Tax application channel, complaint email @pajak.go.id, complaint site.pajak.go.id, or the Wise.kemenkeu.go.id website.

Yesterday, the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati asked the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) to conduct an evaluation regarding the alleged leaked data on Taxpayer Identification Numbers (NPWP).

He said that later after the evaluation was completed, a press conference would be held to announce the results of the examination to the media crew.

Through the @secgron X account, he said as many as 6 million NPWP data were traded on the site by an account named Bjorka on September 18, 2024.

Apart from NPWP, data that was also dragged included a Population Identification Number (NIK), address, mobile phone number, email, and other data. The selling price of all data reached Rp150 million.

In the same tweet, Teguh said the leaked data also belonged to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his sons Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Kaesang Pangarep.

Apart from them, a number of ministers were also included in the list, such as the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati, to the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir.

Information about the NPWP data leak was also uploaded by cybersecurity company Falcon Feeds on platform X.
