The Prophet's 2024 Maulid Long Holiday, A Total Of 191,954 Vehicles Have Left Jabodetabek

GT Cikampek Utama will be passed by many vehicles leaving Jabodetabek during the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW (doc. Antara) holiday.

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) noted that 191,954 vehicles had left the Jabotabek area on Friday, September 13, 2024. This is related to the long holiday period of the Prophet Muhammad SAW 2024.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head, Lisye Octaviana, said the number was the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (to Merak), Ciawi GT (to Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (to Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama GT (to Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 19.27 percent compared to normal traffic," said Lisye in her official statement, Saturday, September 14, 2024.

For the realization of traffic distribution leaving Jabotabek towards three directions, the majority were 95,266 vehicles (49.63 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 56,013 vehicles (29.18 percent) headed West (Merak), and 40,675 vehicles (21.19 percent) headed South (Puncak).

The details of the traffic distribution are as follows.

1. East (Trans Java and Bandung) direction

- Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta Toll Road Cikampek reached 50,602 vehicles. This figure increased by 54.32 percent from normal traffic.

- Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road reached 44,664 vehicles, an increase of 14.55 percent from normal traffic.

The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 95,266 vehicles, an increase of 32.72 percent from normal traffic.

2. West (Merak) direction

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road reached 56,013 vehicles. This figure increased by 11.05 percent from normal traffic.

3. South (Puncak) direction

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road reached 40,675 vehicles. That figure increased by 5.05 percent from normal traffic.

Jasa Marga, said Lisye, predicts that the highest peak of tyrannicalism will occur today, Saturday, September 14, 2024, which is 183,963 vehicles, an increase of 10.4 percent compared to normal traffic.

"The main concern is the toll road segment which has the potential to become a favorite tourist destination for road users during long holidays, including the Jagorawi Toll Road for Puncak and its surroundings and Jakarta-Cikampek and Cipularang for those heading towards Trans Java and Bandung," he said.

Jasa Marga urges road users to anticipate trips before entering the toll road. Ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, ensure the adequacy of fuel and electronic money balances, use rest areas to rest if you are tired of driving and obey signs and directions from officers.
