Prophet's Maulid Holiday, Occupancy Of Daop 7 Capai Train Passengers 100 Percent

JAKARTA - The number of train passenger occupancy in the Operational Area (Daop) 7 Madiun was recorded at 100 percent during the long weekend holiday. Where, this long holiday coincides with the Maulid holiday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

"The coverage of train passengers in Daop 7 Madiun has increased by more than 100 percent capacity compared to normal days," said KAI Public Relations Manager Daop 7 Madiun, Kuswardojo quoting Antara.

It was observed that on four trains departing from Daop 7 Madiun, the average occupancy rate was 122 percent during the Prophet's Birthday holiday, which took place from September 13 to 16, 2024, based on sales data on Friday, September 13, 2024.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 7 Madiun recorded that the highest occupancy train in the Daop 7 area was the Kahuripan train with the Blitar-Kiaracondong PP occupancy relation reaching 172 percent, followed by Brantas relation Blitar-Pasarsenen PP reaching 114 percent, KA Bangunkarta relation for Jombang-Pasarsenen PP occupancy 114 percent, and KA Singasari relation Blitar Pasarenen PP reaching 97 percent.

During this period, he continued, Daop 7 Madiun provided a total of 10,128 seats. A total of 5,951 tickets were sold in the Daop 7 area and 7,085 other tickets were sold from other areas.

"For passenger activities at Daop 7 stations, 16,472 passengers boarded and 16,403 passengers fell and this number is expected to continue to grow until the end of the holiday period on September 16, 2024," he said.

In order to provide customer convenience and satisfaction, Kuswardojo emphasized that PT KAI continues to maintain operational time during the holiday period.

"During August 2024, we evaluated the timeliness of train departures to reach 100 percent and arrivals of 97.58 percent. This reflects our commitment to provide safe, comfortable, and timely service for passengers," said Kuswardojo.

In addition to timeliness, PT KAI also continues to ensure the safety of train operations through routine inspections of infrastructure, facilities, and human resources.

Regarding ticket availability, Kuswardojo said that people can still book tickets for travel during this holiday period.

"We also remind road users who want to cross a level crossing to always prioritize train travel, and always be alert by stopping for a moment, looking right and left, and making sure the location is safe and then continuing the journey," he said.
