Approved By The DPR, The KPUPR IKN Budget Increases To IDR 13.21 Trillion For 2025

JAKARTA - The budget allocation for the construction of the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, East Kalimantan, which will be disbursed by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has officially increased to Rp13.21 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year (TA).

This was confirmed after the House of Representatives (DPR RI) officially approved the addition of the 2025 Ministry of PUPR budget ceiling of IDR 40.59 trillion.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said, of the total additional budget of Rp40.59 trillion, Rp9.11 trillion will be allocated to support IKN development, especially the development of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).

"For the continuation (development) of IKN and operations in the central government area (KIPP) of Rp9.11 trillion," Basuki said in a working meeting (Raker) with Commission V DPR RI, Wednesday, September 11.

In his explanation, the IKN budget will be allocated directly to the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Cipta Karya to develop the area and the Directorate General of Highways to support the construction of connectivity, both roads within the IKN area and the IKN toll road.

Even so, Basuki still has not been able to detail in detail the additional budget allocation for the IKN development. He admitted that he would still conduct further investigations to be submitted to parliament.

Based on VOI records, the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of PUPR Mohammad Zainal Fatah said that the portion disbursed by PUPR to support IKN infrastructure development in 2025 was only IDR 4.13 trillion.

This was conveyed by Zainal Fatah when met after a press conference on the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget and the 2025 Financial Note at the office of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Friday, August 16.

"In our records, there are Rp4.13 trillion," he said.

Zainal Fatah said the budget would be used to complete flood management in the IKN area, toll road construction to projects in the residential and housing sectors.
