Perum Bulog Has A Deputy President Director, What Are Its Duties?

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog has a new position in his board of directors, namely the Deputy President Director. This position is filled by Marga Taufiq, who has a background as a TNI general.

Then, what is the task of the Deputy Director of Perum Bulog?

President Director of Perum Bulog Wahyu Suparyono said his deputy would carry out tasks that focused on absorption and operations.

"The function is that he fully concentrates on the main absorption in the field," he said when met at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Thursday, September 12.

Wahyu said Marga Taufiq is a general who understands the story of the conflict. He has worked together on the absorption of unhulled rice with Marga Taufiq from 2015 to 2017.

"Thankfully he was my old friend when I was in 2015 to 2017 there was Sergap, the absorption of grain when we worked with the TNI AD he really had experience. So this is a general who understands water levels and broken grains," he explained.

In addition, Wahyu said that he had initiated Marga Taufiq to overcome the problem of late loading and unloading or demurrage fines in rice imports.

"Third day, last night I was assigned, last night I took him to the port to meet the directors. Met last night at 7 pm. I don't want to anymore, there is a demurrage that they have discussed with him," he explained.

Previously, it was reported that the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir appointed General TNI Purnawirawan Marga Taufiq to be Deputy President Director (Wadirut) of Perum Bulog. The position is only in the composition of Perum Bulog's directors.

The appointment of Marga Taufiq himself coincided with the appointment of the new President Director, Wahyu Suparyono, who replaced Bayu Krisnamurthi. Then, Erick also appointed the Human Capital Director, Sudarsono Hardjosoekarto to replace Purnomo Sinar Hadi.

Marga Taufiq previously served as Special Staff for the Defense Resources Potential Development Foundation (YPPSDP) of the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan). Marga graduated from the Military Academy for the Infantry branch in 1987. He has also served as Deputy Territorial Assistant for Kasad.

The man who was born in Makassar, April 17, 1964, has also held a number of important positions within the Army, one of which is in the Army Strategic Command (Kostrad).
