Practitioners Encourage Exporters And Importers To Understand Trade Law

JAKARTA - Rahayu and Partners Founder and On Us Asia Sri H. Rahayu stated that exporters and importers must really understand trade laws, especially in the midst of current global competition.

"Industrial actors are now faced with a number of challenges such as the need to understand the laws of trade between countries," he said in a statement in Surabaya, East Java, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 10.

Sri said that along with the increasingly complex regulations, international trade and the dynamics of the market that are rapidly changing as well as increasing global competition, industry players are faced with a number of challenges.

Some of the challenges include the need to understand trade law rules between countries, risk management, and how to take advantage of existing opportunities in the global market with efficient and timely strategies.

Sri emphasized that an in-depth understanding of international regulations is the main key in achieving success in the export and import industries.

He explained that many Indonesian companies often encounter difficulties when they have to adjust to the legal standards of export destination countries.

However, Sri said the challenge should not be seen as an obstacle but an opportunity to learn and develop.

International trade presents many opportunities but also many risks. It is important for companies to have the right strategy so that they can face risks in an effective and efficient way," he said.

In addition to understanding trade law, Sri emphasized that export and import actors must also collaborate with various stakeholders, both industry players, government, and legal service providers.
