China And Australia Want To Groundbreaking Projects At IKN, Investment Value Reaches IDR 650 Billion

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) said a number of foreign investors would carry out groundbreaking activities or project groundbreaking activities at IKN, East Kalimantan. The investment value is estimated at IDR 650 billion.

Acting (Plt) Deputy Chief of OIKN Raja Juli Antoni said, there are two foreign investors who will hold the groundbreaking, namely from China and Australia. For the scope of their own sector, some are engaged in property and education.

"There are two foreign investors who will groundbreaking. First, Delonix, this is a company from China that will build malls, hotels and apartments," said Raja Juli when met by reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 9.

Raja Juli said Delonix would build a mix-used area in IKN. It is projected that the total investment disbursed will reach Rp500 billion.

Meanwhile, other investors from the Australian Independent School will build schools in IKN. The investment value to be disbursed reaches IDR 150 billion. Thus, the accumulated number of foreign investments that will enter this September to IKN reaches IDR 650 billion.

"So, there are two foreign (investors) who want to groundbreaking. There are two delonixes of Rp. 500 billion, the other is the Australian Independent School, which is around Rp. 150 billion," he said.

Even so, Raja Juli has not been able to confirm how many private investors will groundbreaking at IKN this month. It is estimated that the number will reach 6-8 investors, including the two foreign investors.

Meanwhile, when asked about the certainty of the groundbreaking date, Raja Juli could not confirm it. According to him, the groundbreaking will be carried out when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) starts based in IKN.

"Not yet, it is being matched with the president (schedule). Yes, approximately after the President (Jokowi) will be there. God willing, Thursday morning he will depart," he said.

Previously, Acting Head of the Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono said that the groundbreaking for phase 8 investment would continue this September.

Basuki said, there will be 8 investors who will start realizing their investments next month.

"Next month, hopefully there will be 7 or 8 more (investors) (groundbreaking at IKN). It will continue to grow later," said Basuki, quoted on Thursday, August 22.

When confirmed, Basuki leaked that the company that will hold the investment groundbreaking will move in the education, hotel, property sectors to sports centers or sports centers.

However, Basuki still has not detailed how much investment value projections will be embedded in the eighth stage of the groundbreaking ceremony.

"The sectors are education, hotels, properties, sports centers. (The investment value) doesn't know yet," he said.
