Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi (Sulselbar) Darwisman said that the implementation of the West Sulawesi Investment Forum which was held in East Kalimantan could open a line of economic potential for West Sulawesi.
"The West Sulawesi Investment Forum activity in Balikpapan today is a very good event to open the path of West Sulawesi's economic potential," Darwisman said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 6.
The implementation of the West Sulawesi Investment Forum 2024 raised the theme 'Sulbar Grows with IKN', presenting 100 entrepreneurs to sign a "Memorandum of Understanding/MoU" or memorandum of understanding.
The activity presented Acting Governor of West Sulawesi Bahtiar Bahharuddin, Acting Governor of East Kalimantan Akmal Malik, IKN Authority and Balikpapan Mayor as resource persons.
Darwisman hopes that the West Sulawesi Investment Forum will run smoothly and West Sulawesi will succeed and become a buffer province for IKN.
"This includes having a big economic impact in order to improve people's welfare," said Darwisman.
All OJK ranks, continued Darwisman, will support West Sulawesi Province as an IKN buffer.
"Due to the implementation of these activities, we from the OJK are ready to follow up on matters that are the duty and authority of the OJK in order to encourage the economy in West Sulawesi Province," said Darwisman.
Previously, the Head of the One Stop Integrated Service Investment Service (DPMPTSP) Habibi Azis said that the implementation of the West Sulawesi Investment Forum would strengthen the position of West Sulawesi as an IKN buffer zone in East Kalimantan.
"So, we hope that through the implementation of the West Sulawesi Investment Forum, we can strengthen the role of West Sulawesi in supporting IKN in East Kalimantan," said Habibi Azis.
The West Sulawesi Investment Forum activity, said Habibi Azis, is a meeting forum between entrepreneurs in the archipelago.
"There are more than 100 Nusantara entrepreneurs who will take part in this activity. There are also from West Sulawesi itself," said Habibi Azis.
