Family Partners Conduct Analysis And Review Of Hospital Development Opportunities At IKN

JAKARTA - PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA) has opened its voice regarding the opportunity for expansion in building a hospital in the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago.

Director of Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Joyce Vidyanti Handajani said that her party is currently still reviewing and analyzing the prospects for hospital development at IKN.

"So at this time we still don't have land or plan to build a hospital there (IKN). But we are still in the process of reviewing or analyzing it," he said, during the Public Expose Live, Friday, August 30.

Although she does not yet have a hospital construction plan at IKN, Joyce said that Mitra Keluarga has a growth strategy through adding hospitals and on average the company will add 1 to 2 hospitals per year, but in 2023 MIKA will add 3 hospitals.

"So in 2023 we will add 3 hospitals and this year we happen to not exist. But next year maybe we will open at least 3 new hospitals. 2-3 new hospitals. So the average is 1-2 hospitals per year," he said.

Joyce menyampaikan bahwa strategi utama dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dari perseroan yaitu dengan menambah jumlah rumah sakit, dengan cara pembangunan atau akuisisi rumah sakit.

On the same occasion, Head of Investor Relations Mitra Keluarga Aditya Widjaja explained that the company has three projects that are currently groundbreaking for the hospital and in terms of organizing the hospital, it will also add around 250-300 beds this year.

"So there are also expansion projects from hospital organizing, especially in groups and adding more updated medical equipment this year and for the rejuvenation of medical devices every year," he said.

For information, Mitra Keluarga has prepared a total capital expenditure of IDR 1 trillion for 2024, which will be used for the new hospital groundbreaking project which is scheduled to start operating in 2025 and carry out various renovations of existing facilities.
