PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono Says Eight Investors Are Ready To Groundbreaking At IKN Next Month

JAKARTA - Acting (Plt) Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono said that the laying of the first stone or groundbreaking for the 8th phase of investment will continue in September.

Basuki said, there will be 8 investors who will start realizing their investments next month.

"Next month, hopefully there will be 7 or 8 more (investors) (groundbreaking at IKN). It will continue to grow later," said Basuki, quoted on Thursday, August 22.

When confirmed, Basuki leaked that the company that will hold the investment groundbreaking will move in the education, hotel, property sectors to sports centers or sports centers.

However, Basuki still has not detailed how much investment value projections will be embedded in the eighth stage of the groundbreaking ceremony.

"The sectors are education, hotels, properties, sports centers. (The investment value) doesn't know yet," he said.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) revealed that there had been dozens of infrastructure projects conducting groundbreaking at IKN.

The investment value reached IDR 56.2 trillion until August 12, 2024.

"And as of today, I also need to say that outside the budget from the state budget, the incoming investment is already IDR 56.2 trillion from 55 (projects) that have been groundbreaking," he said at the opening of the plenary cabinet meeting, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, August 12.

Jokowi detailed that the majority of the investment projects were office and banking development which reached 14 projects. Then, the retail and logistics sector reached 10 projects.

Furthermore, there are 9 residential and green areas, 8 hotel projects, 6 education projects, 3 health projects, media and 3 technology projects and finally 2 projects in the energy and transportation sector.
