JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) through its subholding, Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) is rumored to be signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with an oil and gas company from China, Sinopec. The signing of this collaboration is scheduled to take place at the end of this month.
"God willing, by the end of this month PHE will sign for the application of their Enhanced Oil Recovery or EOR technology," said Deputy Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Wiko Migantoro to the media quoted on Tuesday, August 20.
Wiko said that the implementation of this EOR will be carried out on 5 fields belonging to Pertamina EP, namely Rantau, Tanjung, Pamusian, Jirak andatur. He also said that the discussion between the two companies had gone through a long process.
With EOR technology from Sinopec, Wiko is confident that he can increase the lifting of PHE oil, which currently occupies the first position as the largest oil producer in Indonesia.
