JAKARTA - General Manager of PLN's Jakarta Raya Distribution Main Unit, Doddy B. Pangaribuan, explained that PLN is ready to support the government in the construction of toll roads as connecting access between regions so that it can be reached in a fast time. One of them is the Cinere - Serpong toll road.

"PLN's support for the construction of this toll road is of course with sufficient and reliable electricity supply because operations require electricity," he said in a written statement, Thursday, March 25.

Doddy said, PLN is energizing electricity for the Cinere - Serpong Toll Road project, which has already completed its construction period. The electricity distributed to section 1 Serpong-Pamulang in the first phase is 213,500 Volt Ampere (VA). Meanwhile, the second phase energize is 135,500 VA and will be implemented in the near future.

Furthermore, he said, this first stage of electricity was used for main gate tolls of 131,000 VA and street lighting of 82,500 VA. Same as the first stage, the second stage is also used for toll gates and lighting.

Not only for operations, said Doddy, PLN also supplies electricity for its construction using a temporary electricity service of 388,500 VA. This includes being used for the manufacture of precast concrete.

"PLN serves electricity during construction for a variety of needs, from housing construction to mega-projects such as this toll road," he said.

Doddy claims that the electricity offered by PLN is more environmentally friendly because it does not cause air or noise pollution as if using a generator set.

"Electricity while PLN can also be used by the public for various events, both outdoor and indoor, is more environmentally friendly," he said.

Doddy said, people who want to also use electricity services temporarily can contact the PLN 123 Contact Center on various channels.
