Food Price: Rawit Chili IDR 69,270 Per Kg Rice IDR 13,570 Per Kg

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that food prices at the retail traders level nationally fluctuate, red cayenne pepper at the level of IDR 69,270 per kilogram (kg) and medium rice at the price of IDR 13,570 per kg, as of August 11, 2024.

Based on data from the Badanas Price Panel, which was reported on Sunday at 08.00 WIB, the price of premium rice was observed to have slightly increased by 1.03 percent or Rp160 to Rp15,670 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of medium rice fell slightly by 0.07 percent or Rp10 to Rp13,570 per kg; then Bulog's rice supply stability and food prices (SPHP) also slightly decreased by 0.24 percent or Rp30 to Rp12,570 per kg.

Next, the price of shallot commodities rose 3.02 percent or Rp790 to Rp26,960 per kg; then garlic also rose 3.18 percent or Rp1,260 to Rp40,900 per kg.

Similar to the price of curly red chilies, it rose 3.46 percent or Rp1,580 to Rp47,260 per kg; as well as red cayenne pepper rose 1.17 percent or Rp800 to Rp69,270 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of pure beef fell slightly by 0.43 percent or Rp580 to Rp134,700 per kg; in contrast to broiler meat, it rose 2.81 percent or Rp978 to Rp35,880 per kg; broiler eggs also rose 1.19 percent or Rp570 to Rp29,250 per kg.

Meanwhile, dried soybeans (imports) were observed to have slightly increased by 2.09 percent or Rp250 to Rp12,220 per kg; then consumption sugar rose 1.29 percent or Rp230 to Rp18,110 per kg.

Furthermore, simple packaged cooking oil rose 1.34 percent or Rp240 to Rp18,210 per kg; while bulk cooking oil decreased slightly by 1.87 percent or Rp300 to Rp15,780 per kg.

Next, the price of bulk flour was observed to fall slightly by 0.29 percent or Rp30 to Rp10,220 per kg; while non-mass wheat flour rose 1.51 percent or Rp200 to Rp13,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, corn at the farmer level was observed to increase by 6.65 percent or Rp380 to Rp6,090 per kg; while fine salt with sodium decreased slightly by 0.26 percent or Rp30 to Rp11,390 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of tunable fish is 1.22 percent or Rp540 to Rp37,400 per kg; while tuna fish rose to 5.74 percent or Rp1,760 to Rp32,440 per kg; meanwhile, the price of milkfish slightly decreased by 0.95 percent or Rp310 to Rp32,160 per kg.
