BALIKPAPAN - The Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) ensures that investment in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) continues.

This can be seen from the growing investment interest letter (LoI).

Deputy for Investment and Funding of OIKN Agung Wicaksono said that currently LoI IKN's position has reached 475 letters.

"Total LoI masuk, tuh, sejauh ini 475," ujar Agung kepada wartawan di Hotel Nusantara IKN, Jumat, 9 Agustus.

Agung said, after the evaluation, only 263 LoIs were really interested in investing in the archipelago.

"The 212 ones are letters but state that they want to be consultants, contractors and want to be vendors, yes. So, it's not actually LoI for investment," he said.

He explained that currently there are 60 LoIs that are in the process stage by OIKN.

The process was led directly by the Acting Head of OIKN Basuki Hadimuljono who is also the Minister of PUPR.

"From the 263 we evaluated, around 30 were groundbreaking yesterday. Now, in the process previously mentioned there are 60. 60 (as many as) 60 who were invited yesterday by Mr. Plt Basuki," he added.

According to Agung, there are about five countries that are already interested in investing in IKN.

Even so, he was reluctant to provide further information about which companies would carry out the groundbreaking.

"That's right there are foreign investors. If I'm not mistaken, there were four or five yesterday. We'll wait for the game date if anyone," he concluded.
