Karawang Front Station Operates In Early 2025, KCIC: Access Is Being Prepared To Rise And Down Passengers

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) revealed thatTENsh Karawang Station will soon operate in early 2025. The operation of the station is part of a strategy to increase the number of passengers.

For your information, the Fast Train itself has four stations, namely Halim Station, Karawang Station, Padalarang Station and Tegalluar Station. Currently, only Karawang Station has not yet operated to serve passengers.

KCIC will operate Karawang Station in early 2025 for passenger up and down services. Currently, Karawang Station is only operated to serve train travel arrangements," said General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa in an official statement, Friday, July 26.

Although it is not yet operational to get on and off passengers, Eva said that the officer's service for on-call emergency has also been running along with all other equipment such as security and cleaning staff.

Road Access Via Trans Heksa Karawang And Deltamas

To be able to operate Karawang Station serving ups and downs of passengers, continued Eva, the preparation of the access road is one of the important factors.

Eva said that currently KCIC is preparing access from the trans heksa Karawang (THK) and Deltamas areas to go to Karawang station.

"Later, there will be access along about 1.5 km from THK and Deltamas to Karawang Station, which is currently in the final stages of land acquisition to further enter the stage of construction preparation," he explained.

Furthermore, Eva said that currently the government through the PUPR ministry is also preparing the construction of the exit KM 42 of the Cikampek Jakarta toll road which goes directly to the Karawang Station area.

The other access from the Japek Toll Road is now also in the stage of land acquisition and development. The plan is for development to be carried out this year as part of the National Strategic Project from the central government," he said.

According to Eva, with these various accesses, Karawang Station will be connected to various industrial, urban, and shopping center areas.

"KCIC also continues to communicate with various providers of transportation service providers to meet the needs of connectivity between modes and to Karawang Station," he explained.
