Airlangga Reveals Extension Of KUR Credit Restructuring Waiting For Regulations From OJK

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed that the extension of the special credit restructuring for the People's Business Credit (KUR) segment is waiting for regulations from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Airlangga explained that the extension of the special credit restructuring for the KUR segment will only be relaxed in the contract or disbursement of credit in 2022.

"It's special for KUR which is based on the 2022 credit contract," said Airlangga at the Economy Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Airlangga conveyed the implementation of the credit restructuring extension policy for the KUR segment awaiting regulation from the OJK.

"According to the regulations in the OJK," he said.

Previously, Airlangga said the government would extend the policy of extending credit restructuring specifically for the People's Business Credit (KUR) segment and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) already has these guidelines and regulations.

"Regarding that, the guidance is there and the OJK regulations are actually very clear, for credit restructuring, each is carried out by their respective banks," said Airlangga to the media crew, Friday, July 19.

In an upload on his personal Instagram account, Airlangga said that he had held a Limited Coordination Meeting (Rakortas) with the Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Mahendra Siregar, namely the extension of credit restructuring specifically for the KUR segment.

"One of the policies that will also be offered is the extension of credit restructuring specifically for the KUR segment," he wrote in an upload on his personal Instagram account @airlanggahartarto_official.

In addition, Airlangga said, the 2024 KUR fund program will continue, because the banking condition is quite resilient to run the program.

"I lead the Coordination Meeting regarding People's Business Credit (KUR) where the 2024 KUR fund program will continue. Banking is in a resilient condition to run this program," he said.
