Thanks To Pertamina Patra Niaga Subsidiary, Indonesia Supplys Energy To Timor Leste

JAKARTA The subsidiary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Pertamina International Timor SA (PITSA) for 40 years has supplied energy needs for Timor Leste.

PITSA is one of the nine subsidiaries of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga who officially operated to become a local Timor Leste business entity in 2015.

Currently, the composition of PITSA's share ownership consists of 50 percent of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, 45 percent of PT Pertamina Retail, and 5 percent of local Timor Leste 4-Concorcio Timor Progresso (4-CTP) partners.

Serving fuel needs for vehicles and aircraft, LPG, lubricants, and petrochemicals, PITSA is here to ensure the availability of energy in Timor Leste.

In order to ensure operational sustainability and work safety aspects at PITSA, the Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga conducted a walkthrough management to the PITSA operation unit operating in the Dili area, Timor Leste.

Energy supply for both fuel, LPG, avtur, and petrochemicals such as asphalt for road construction is in a safe condition. Through PITSA, Pertamina Patra Niaga carries out operational activities for the distribution of Pertamax (RON 92), Pertadiesel, Avtur, Lubricant products and Petrochemical products.

Currently, PITSA operates a fuel terminal in Dili, gas stations in Bebora, gas stations in Becora, gas stations in Metiaut, Airport Depot & Into Plane Service (ADIPS) Comoro, and Elpiji Bulk Charging Station (SPBE) in Tigar, with supply points from the Pertamina Patra Niaga operating unit in Indonesia such as Surabaya, Kupang and Totopupu to trading arm in Singapore, namely Pertamina International Marketing & Distribution (PIMD) Pte. Ltd.

The average distribution of Pertamina's fuel in Timor Leste reaches 5,854 Kiloliters (KL) per month.

Meanwhile, LPG reaches 28 Metric Tons (MT) per month, and distribution for Avtur supply is 140 KL per month.

Then for Lubricant products, distribution reaches 11 KL per month.

"After conducting an evaluation, the Board of Commissioners appreciates the achievement of the performance of Semester I in 2024. With this good performance, PITSA is expected to become a prototype subsidiary of Pertamina Patra Niaga and can continue to increase sales and develop markets in Timor Leste," he added.

On that occasion, Ego and the Board of Commissioners of Pertamina Patra Niaga also appreciated the workers at airport depots, gas stations and fuel terminals.

As well as emphasizing the importance of prioritizing aspects of safety, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) in daily life and culture of workers at PITSA.

Including checking facilities and facilities, as well as conducting emergency simulation exercises.
