Fun! Starting Tomorrow To Bali By Garuda Indonesia, The Plane Is Wide Body

JAKARTA - The national airline PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. decided to use a wide body aircraft fleet to serve the Jakarta - Denpasar - Jakarta route starting Monday, 22 March 2021.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfaniaputra, this strategic step aims to continue to maximize public accessibility on one of the routes that have the highest flight frequency in the country.

"The steps to optimize passenger occupancy, of course, are always in line with our commitment to implementing physical distancing during flights, which is the main focus of the value of Garuda Indonesia's flight services during this new habit adaptation period," he said in a press statement received by VOI, Sunday, March 21.

Irfan added that this effort is also part of the company's strategy to strengthen the aviation market segment to Bali, which is one of the gateways for national tourism.

"We certainly hope that through the operation of this wide body aircraft it can be an added value for all passengers," he said.

For information, Garuda Indonesia previously used a Boeing B737-800 NG with a capacity of 162 passengers to serve the Jakarta - Denpasar - Jakarta route.

Through this latest policy, the red-plate airlines will optimize several wide-body aircraft, including the B777 - 300 ER with a capacity of 314 passengers (triple class) and 393 passengers (dual class).

In addition, it was also stated that Garuda Indonesia will use the A330-200 with a capacity of 222 passengers, A330-300 with a capacity of 287 passengers and A 330-900 Neo with a capacity of 301 passengers.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta - Denpasar PP route itself has a frequency of about 56 flights per week out of a total of 104 flights served by Garuda Indonesia to and from Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar.

"Not to forget, we will continue to be committed to providing safe and comfortable flight services by always prioritizing flight services that are consistent in implementing health protocols in all operational lines", concluded Irfan.
