Minister Of Agriculture-Wamentan Ready To Susekskan Prabowo's Nutritious Eating Program

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman admitted that he and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono were ready to support and succeed in a nutritious eating program. Where, the program was carried by the elected president and vice president Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"We are preparing the program (to support a nutritious eating program), we have even started it. And later we will escort it together with the Deputy Minister," Amran said quoting Antara.

According to Amran, currently the availability of food such as vegetables, eggs, and chicken meat is in abundant condition and even self-sufficiency so that they are ready to support the free and nutritious lunch program promoted by the new government in 2024-2029.

"Our hope is nutritious food. The nutritious food there is a vegetable component, we do not import it, our eggs are self-sufficiency, our chicken meat is self-sufficiency, fish is abundant," said Amran.

He also hopes that in the future agricultural productivity, especially rice, can increase, so that imports will no longer be carried out to meet the food needs of the Indonesian people.

"The rice that is said to be imported, hopefully in the future it will be self-sufficiency in a short time," he said.

In addition, Amran also hopes that the nutritious eating program carried by Prabowo-Gibran can be supplied from food in the country.

"So it is fulfilled domestically. All components for this nutritious food, God willing, hopefully in the future we can fulfill it well, including milk," explained Amran.

Amran also admitted that he was optimistic that he was ready to bring better Indonesian agriculture with the Deputy Minister Sudaryono, especially in realizing food self-sufficiency, which was achieved in 2017, 2019, and 2020.

He admitted that this was also a directive from President Joko Widodo and the elected president Prabowo Subianto, to realize food self-sufficiency and make Indonesia a world food barn.

"His message always says how we provide food for the population (Indonesia) of 280 million. Food self-sufficiency in the sense of self-sufficiency. And this is not difficult. Why? We have achieved three times during the reign of Pak Joko Widodo 2017, 2019, 2020," he said.

Amran also considered that Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono was the nation's best son who had a wealth of experience.

"The program is the president's vision and mission. We in the agricultural sector are running together with one unit. We are with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Deputy Minister of Agriculture) in one unit," said Amran.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono emphasized that he was ready to give his best to the success of the Ministry of Agriculture program under the leadership of Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman.

Sudaryono also admitted that he was ready to build consolidation and communication with various parties to realize food self-sufficiency and support the nutritious eating program of the new government.

"Because I understand the target set by the elected president, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, is clear and it is clear how the agricultural sector is, the Ministry of Agriculture is the food commander. This means that the commander of food supply and how the welfare of farmers are also an inseparable part," said Sudaryono.

Sudaryono replaces the position of Harvick Hasnul Qolbi who has ended his term as Deputy Minister of Agriculture.

The former personal assistant to the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, will serve as Deputy Minister of the Republic of Indonesia for the next three months, ahead of the full duties of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government cabinet in October 2024.
