Ilhamsyah Mahendra Becomes New President Director Of Inalum After Danny Praditya Becomes A KPK Suspect

JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Inalum) has reshuffled the board of directors. Where it was decided that Ilhamsyah Mahendra would officially replace Danny Praditya as president director.

The change in the position of president director is in line with the appointment of Danny Praditya as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of buying and selling gas at PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

The reshuffle of the board of directors is included in the agenda of the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Sanur Bali.

"After the Inalum AGMS was implemented, shareholders also read out the Shareholders' Decree on the Management Structure," said Inalum Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin Ende in a remsi statement, quoted Thursday, July 18.

The RUPTS also discussed strategic projects and future corporate plans to increase national aluminum production capacity.

Starting from the construction of the Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) in Mempawah. Then, the Reducing Tungku Technology Upgrading project. Finally, optimizing the Kuala Tanjung Smelter which is targeted to increase production capacity in 2024-2025.
